Roar, Eye of The Tiger & We Are The Champions
‘Roar’ is a song sung by Katy Perry. ‘Eye of The Tiger’ is sung by Rocky. And ‘We Are The Champions is sung by Queen. ‘ In ‘Roar’ Katy sings the lyrics ‘I’ve got the eye of the tiger..’ and ‘Cause I am a champion’. These two lyrics are in the songs ‘Eye of The Tiger’ and We Are The Champions’. Each songs tell us a message and the message is, always staying strong and never giving up. Even if someone brings you down, just ignore them and stand up for yourself. Show everyone that you’re stronger then you look. And that you won’t care about ANYTHING anyone says about you. The connections that ‘Roar’ and ‘Eye Of The Tiger’ is that, they both relate to being a fighter and fighting for freedom and peace that you want away from negative things. ‘Roar’ and ‘We Are The Champions’ both show that, you are you. And being you, you’re a champion. Doesn’t matter what others say about you. You do what you want and believe what you want to believe.
Watch this video, and think about you, and your life.

Now reflect: How do you feel about yourself now?
About My Saint: St. Teresa Of Avila
St.Teresa’s full name is Teresa Ali Fatim Corella Sanchez de Capeda y Ahumada of Avila. Teresa was born in Spain on March 28, 1515. She was the third child out of nine plus 3 others from her father’s first marriage. When Teresa was 12, her mother passed away and she wrote a letter. ” As soon as I began to understand how great a lost I had sustained by losing her, I was very I was very much afflicted; and so I went before an image of our Blessed Lady and besought her with many tears that she would vouchsafe to be my mother.” At 1531, Teresa was sent to an education to lean about Augustinian nuns. Teresa’s uncle acquainted her with the Letters of Saint Jerome. From then, she became Religious. At the age of 2o, she joined the Carmelite Convent of the Incarnation of Avila.
What I’ve been learning with Mrs. Rutherford:
• What I have learnt about ‘compassion’ and ‘social justice’ is that, ‘compassion’ is feeling for someone and helping them. Making someone feel better of themselves. ‘Social Justice’ is like freedom. ‘Social Justice’ is being able to just be yourself and do whatever you want without anyone hurting you.
• ‘The Kingdom of God’ is a place where everything is happy and free. People who have been persecuted, hurt or judged, are in the ‘Kingdom of God’, where God can keep them safe.
• Something that inspired me in the Beatitudes were, how God is always there for you and you should never judged someone. Even though God is always there for you, the person who is being hurt might not remember that God is there for them, so we can help them. Make them feel safe.
• What challenges me most about the Beatitudes is trying to understand the meanings and explaining them.
• I’m hoping to find out more about the Bible and how it’s all set out. 🙂
