Subject: How Medical Technology has changed over years.
My Rich Question are:…….
1. How has medicine impact on peoples lives?
2. How did some of the medical terms gets its name and how did they change over time?
3. What would the world be like without Doctors or Medicine?
4. What can I do to support others in need without a cure?
This is my Bubbl.us I made on my topic:
Reflection on research:
This week, I’ve been researching about my topic and taking dot point notes about my topic. I had found out a lot about my topic this week and it had helped me a lot about my understanding of Medical Technology and how it has helped us in life and how it has improved.
I chose this picture of a Stethoscope because it is the Doctor’s most trusted tool and it is significant because it is a symbol of a doctor.

I chose this picture of an X-Ray machine because, without it, doctors would have to give you “exploratory surgery.” The X-Ray is one of the Doctor’s most trusted machine too.

I chose this picture of a Electrocardiogram machine because it was mostly mentioned in the information that I read and it is often used to help doctors get more clearer and exact information about the patient’s active heart.

Five Important Facts:
*People use to listen to the heart beat by pressing their ear against the persons chest.
*Electrocardiograph means: to measure and record the electricity of the active heart.
*X-Rays USED to cause Cancer by server burns.
*X-Rays were discovered by Wilhelm Roentgen – For info. go to: http://www.bl.uk/learning/artimages/bodies/xray/roentgen.html
*A stethoscope is the most trusted tool for a doctor and is the most singular symbol.
My Youtube Clip:
In this Youtube clip, the Doctor explains how technology has helped the Medical Field and had made it easier to get around things. The Medical Record has impacted on the patients and the medical staff. Watch the video for information! Thank you! 🙂
How Medicine Has Impacted On Society:
Medicine has made a HUGE impact on society. Medicine has helped cure many diseases. Without medicine, our lives would be different and we would all be suffering from many kinds of illnesses, and wouldn’t have a cure. Now in modern life, we have a cure for most illnesses/diseases and we are working on some more medicines to help cure other diseases, for example: Cancer and H.I.V.
How The World Would Be Like Without Doctors:
A world without Doctors would be a world that is full of horror because we would see people sick and dying. Without Doctors, our lifespan would be a lot shorter because we will become sick and wouldn’t have anything to help our-selves. Doctors has been around for more than 100 years, and from then, they have been trying to help others and make their pain or suffering go away. Doctors have a big job. So whenever we see a Doctor, say “thank you” and you can make their day, because without them, your life will be different.
What Can I Do To Support Others In Need Without A Cure:
Well, what we can do for others in need is, we can donate, to different types to charities likes, Red Nose Day, Red Cross….ect. When we donate, we are doing A LOT for others, but we just don’t know it. 2-5 dollars won’t hurt to give. They need it more than we do. It can save lives and help others. So what we can do to help others is to donate and you could be saving someone’s life.

Hey Angeline,
I love your project so far it’s amazing!
But I would like to know how would you feel if we didn’t have any medical tecnology or medicine and how do think we could fix the problom 🙂
Thanks Joely! If we didn’t have any medicine or medical technology we would be suffering from different types of disease and our population would drop down quickly.
Hi Angeline,
I really like the images you have because they are informative and they have a lot of detail.
I think maybe you could have more connections between each bubbl and how they relate on your bubbl.us.
Over all, I think you have a lot of information and I like the way you have set it out.
Thanks Katia! Also thanks for the feedback. That really made me think about my bubbl.us and what i could add to it to make more connections. I will do some more research and try to add more info. to my bubbl.us. Thanks!
Hi Angeline,
I really like the images you’ve included.
But maybe next time you could include more information in your bubble.us.
But other then that it’s really good so well done!
My question is How did you want to do this topic?why?
Thanks Paris for the feedback! Also thanks for the feedback on my Bubbl.us. One of the reasons why I don’t have much infomation on my Bubbl.us is because im using my Bubbl.us as dots points for my presentation. The reason why i chose this topic was because my mom was studying the same thing and i was wondering “why not?” so yeah. Thanks for the feedback Paris!
Hi Angeline,
You’re project is outstanding!
I really life the information and your youtube clip is great.
Next time maybe add an extra picture. Keep up all the great work!
From Sebastian 😀
Thanks Seb for the feedback! It took me awhile to find the Youtube clip and I might actually add another picture. Thanks for the suggestion!
Hi Angeline,
I really like your topic as I did the same sort of topic last year, I would really like to know what they used to use back in the like 1800’s and early 1900’s, I think they would have used different stuff then us, but I think your topic is really cool and your work is cool!
~Tyson
Thanks Tyson for the feedback. The difference between now and back in the 1800s is that, they used to use Saws and knives to cut open a patient and it would be really dangerous for a patient because the equipment the doctors uses would have been really bad and using the wrong tool for the wrong procedure could the kill the patient because the tool could have made an accidental cut in the patient and could cause internal bleeding.
Hi Angeline!
I was reading about this topic once and found out that you can blood poisoning because yhe tools they used were not clean. Is that true?
Thanks for the feedback again Kristine! And yes! That is true. It can happen because the tools back then that the doctors used were like Saws and Nails, the tools you usually use to fix or build things. But now we have safe tools and we can trust the doctors. 😉
Hey Angeline,
i like the topic your doing, medicine is a vital part in our life. I was wondering which medicine or medical machine is the most important. 😀
Thanks Darcy for the feedback. I think the most important Medical Machine is the X-Ray because it allows the doctor so see deeply inside a patient without having to do any dangerous surgery on them. I also think the ECG/EKG (electrocardiogram) is also another important tool because it gives you a picture of the active heart and it records and measure the electrical activity or your heart. Checking if its healthy or not and checking for diseases.
Hello Angeline
i’m very intrested in your topic this personal learning i really love your bubble us one thing is what made you chose this topic and why? 🙂
Thanks Luana! I chose this topic because my mom was studying it in university and i was wondering, why not i give it a try. As i got more into my topic, it got really interesting and i learnt A LOT about it. Thanks for the feedback Luana!
Hi Angeline,
I really like your topic, I think it’s very interesting. I think that your vidoe clip realy sends a strong message to the viewers. I was wondering why is the Electrocardiogram called the Electrocardiogram? I enjoyed reading all the information. Good luck with your presentation!!!
GEM 😀 😉
Hey Gemma! Thanks for the feedback! Electrocardiogram gots its name by, well its kinda in the name. The Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) records and measures your heart beat by electricity and static. It picks up the little sound waves that your heart beat makes and records it into a machine. Thanks for the feedback! It really got me thinking and I might add this to my blog. Thanks Gemma! 😉
hi Angeline, I think your blog is doing great. Your bubble.us is good but it could use a bit more information, although your pictures are great and very good captions and your video explains a lot.
love from mireille 😀
Thanks Mireille for the feedback! For my Bubbl.us, i’m using it as dot points for my presentation. That’s why it doesn’t have much information, but i’ll go ahead and add some more. Thanks!
Hello Angeline,
You have a lots and lots of info. You have add lots of websites in your references and your youtube clip is very interesting. Make sure you have paraphrased all your info. Good job!
Thanks Sally for the feedback! I have pharaphrase all of my work and I have done a few researches. Thanks Sally!
Hi Angeline,
I really like your project.
I reckon you should add some more info so your project is not too short.
GOOD JOB1
Thanks Christian for the feedback! I will definitely add some more information. Thanks for the suggestion!
Hello Angeline!
I find your topic very interesting. You have obviously put a lot of effort into your research and it is very informative. ☻☺☻
My question is: Who discovered the X-Ray machine?
Thanks Kristine for the feedback! 🙂 The X-Ray was discovered by Wilhelm Roentgen in 1895. If you want to know more about him then go to this website. http://www.bl.uk/learning/artimages/bodies/xray/roentgen.html
Hi Angeline,
I think you have a really good presentation and I think your youtube clip is very informative. i was just wondering what made you choose how medical technology has changed over the years.
Thanks Reeya for the feedback! I chose to do How Medical Technology Has Changed Over The Years because my Mom was studying Medical Terms and it made me think about how Medical Technology has changed and also I was interested on what Doctors used to use back then.
Nice project what your favourite medie tech.
